Most Valuable Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures in 2025
One of the ways Dungeons and Dragons campaigns were brought to life was with the introduction of plastic or metal miniatures.
Produced under license from TSR by a variety of manufacturers over the years, some of these minis have become highly collectible.
Here are the companies which produced official D&D miniatures:
We'll include a random sprinkling of the most valuable on this page.
As time allows, we'll expand into individual price guides by each manufacturer.

Grenadier AD&D Thieves box set
Average price $75
Record price $130 (sealed)
Grenadier was the official partner to TSR for Dungeons and Dragons minis from 1980 to 1983. They produced small box sets, large box sets, Action Art box sets and blister packs.
The small box sets included groups of one kind of adventurer, such as these Thieves, a Wizard's Room, some monsters and a mixed Adventuring Party. Sealed sets are the most desirable, followed by complete open boxes with unpainted minis.
Grenadier AD&D box set Monsters
Average price $150
Record price $280 (sealed)
This is one of five large box sets. The others were Dungeon Explorers, Woodland Adventurers, Tomb of Magic and Dragon's Lair. Average price is for a complete set unpainted in an excellent box.
Grenadier AD&D blister packs
Average price $40
Record price $70
There were 16 different packs produced.
Unopened blister packs sell for $20-50 each.
Citadel Dungeon Adventurers box set
Average price $75
Record price $160
Citadel Miniatures offered AD&D figures for about two years under license from TSR, from 1985-86. They sold box sets, like this one, as well as blister packs, as shown below.
Citadel Githyanki blister pack AD&D
Opened price $45
Record price $100
Citadel Illusionist blister pack AD&D
Average price $45
Record price $100
The Citadel Dungeons and Dragons and Advanced Dungeons and Dragons series was short-lived, only surviving two years. During that time, some of the best (in my opinion) Dungeons and Dragons miniatures were produced.
There were four box sets, 25 blister packs for various player characters and 33 different monster packs. Sealed packs are popular; individual miniatures can also sell for between $30 and $50 depending on condition. Unpainted are more desirable.
Ral Partha AD&D Dracolich Limited Edition box set
Average price $225
Record price $??
This impressive monster was limited to 6,000 pieces. A sealed box set will be worth much more. The price quoted was for a loose, but complete, Dracolich without box.
There was also another limited edition box set, Takhisis, Queen of Darkness.
Ral Partha AD&D minis Lord Soth blister
Average price $??
Record price $425 (sealed)
One of the Ral Partha Dragonlance series, this was the highest sale we could find of a sealed Ral Partha blister pack.
Ral Partha also produced Ravenloft, Planescape, Dark Sun and other campaign-specific Dungeons and Dragons miniatures.
Ral Partha AD&D Dragonlance villains box set
Average price $250
Record price $??
One of many Dragonlance licensed miniature sets, this set sells for between $200 and $300 complete but open.
When WOTC took over production of Dungeons and Dragons miniatures in 1997, they ended the relationship with Ral Partha.
Over the next two decades, WOTC produced a plethora of miniatures. They came pre-colored and usually in plastic, becoming more of a collectible item rather than the hobbyist paint-yourself items which had preceded them in the 70s-90s.
As such, boxed miniatures are really the only way to collect these. Without the box, they are worth far less. We include a selection here; there are hundreds of items.
WOTC War of the Dragon Queen booster
MIB Mint in Box $100
Dungeons and Dragons Snowball the Beholder Employee Gift (2007)
Average price $??
Record price $540
Given to employees by Wizards of the Coast for holiday season in 2007, only one has sold recently on eBay.
