The 50 most expensive Golden Age comic books in 2025
The period from 1938 to 1956 is known as the Golden Age of Comics for a reason.
Imagine a world without superheroes. It's hard, right?
We've grown up knowing and loving Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Aquaman, Captain America...
What about the bad guys? Joker, Riddler, Sub-Mariner, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, the Penguin, the Thinker, Shade...
These characters were all created during the Golden Age of comics.
Some observers disagree within a year or two, but you can roughly define the eras of comic publishing like this:
While there were a few superhero comics from 1935 to 1938, Superman's first appearance in Action Comics #1 is considered the book which began the Golden Age.
This page collects the top 50 most valuable comics published prior to 1956. If you find any of these amazing Golden Age comic books, or anything similar, then get in touch immediately!
