Star Wars LEGO Death Star Price Guide

Value of Star Wars LEGO Death Star Sets and Minifigures

"It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station."

You May Fire When Ready

The small thermal exhaust port became the most famous chute in sci-fi history when Luke Skywalker used it to destroy the original Death Star.

This planet-killing weapon is immortalized in LEGO in no less than three sets, all of which feature a big selection of minifigures.

  • 10143 LEGO Death Star II Ultimate Collector Series (2005)
  • 10188 LEGO Death Star (2008)
  • 75159 LEGO Death Star (2016)

The 75159 set is a reboot of the 10188 set, so the two earlier sets are the most popular by far.

If you've lost something from your Death Star LEGO set, then sourcing a replacement part will be a good way to restore its value.

1) Value of LEGO Death Star Sets

Ironically, the first LEGO Death Star isn't based on the first one from A New Hope.

It's based on the Death Star II, which was under construction in Return of the Jedi, it's the most expensive LEGO Death Star set.

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Death Star II 10143 (2005)

Loose incomplete $600++

Loose complete $1,800+

MIB Mint in Box $3,000

The second Star Wars LEGO Death Star set kicks ass!

It's based on the first Death Star from A New Hope.

Once constructed, you'll recognize famous Death Star moments from the movie, including the tractor beam generator room, trash compactor, detention block, droid maintenance room, Emperor's throne room and Superweapon firing room.

This epic set also came with over 20 minifigures (price guide for minifigures appears later on this page).

LEGO Star Wars Death Star 10188 (2008)

Loose incomplete $200++

Loose complete $450-650

MIB Mint in Box $600-1,000

Let's talk about value. The third and final LEGO Star Wars Death Star sells for more than the 2008 edition it was a reboot of.

This could simply be a factor of the retail price. It sold for more in 2016 than the 2008 retail price.

There are some updates and refreshes, but it's really just the same as the 2008 version. Certainly if you already own the 10188 set, then this one isn't worth buying as well.

LEGO Star Wars Death Star 75159 (2016)

Loose incomplete $300++

Loose complete $550-800

MIB Mint in Box $1,100-1,400
