Human Torch returns; "Cap" appearance

One of the most underrated key issues of the late Golden Age, the return of Human Torch also features Cap in the story.
This Captain America is not the one frozen in ice who was resurrected in Avengers #4.
This is a complicated continuity issue which was later "fixed" by writers claiming that Cap in this story was an imposter, or "Bad Cap".

They don't get much bigger than Kingpin, and that's not just his chest size. A long-time enemy of Spider-Man and later, Captain America.

1st Madame Hydra

This classic Silver Age Captain America comic book cover shows Cap facing the Hulk.
Madame Hydra was trained by Kraken to become a super-villain. Cap prevented her from poisoning the water supply of New York City. She later teamed up with Viper.

Mother Night was part of a double act with her brother. They hypnotized people and forced them to commit crimes on their behalf.
She is hired by Red Skull to be a nanny to his daughter, who she trains to become the super-villain Sin (see below).

The Red Guardian has appeared in the MCU in combination with Black Widow.
His history is complicated. He is the husband of Black Widow, though she was told by the KGB that he died. In secret, they were training him to become the Soviet equivalent of Cap. He switched sides several times over the years.
